Q: Do you have a DeviantArt/ twitter/ flickr/ facebook/ pinterest/ etc?
A: Yes. I have a lot of accounts if it's not on the links page however, I'm not freely giving them out to people I haven't met.
Q: Where did you go to school? What did you study?
A: I'm mostly self taught with some schooling.
[ABOUT MY work and art]
Q: What tablet do you use?
A: A Wacom Intous Pro 4
Q: What art programs do you use?
A: Paint Tool Sai, Photoshop CS6 and sometimes Illustrator CS6.
Q: What brush settings do you use? Do you have any custom brushes? How do you get _____ technique.
A: I don't have a set technique so I don't have any set brushes that I use. With the brushes I have, I got them from PTSBrushes.
Q: Would you consider making a tutorial for your painting technique?
A: If I ever get a set technique down, maybe but at the moment I find the most important things to learn are the software. If I release any tutorials, they will be featured on my Patreon.
Q: Do you work in media other than digital?
A: Not really. I tend to be very messy so having a digital set up keeps my life and space clean. However I do use some ink and color pencils. I'm also trying to teach myself to watercolor and paint with acrylic.
Q: How do you organize your drawings on the computer?
A: Personal and work folders, sorted by date. Personal includes merchandise and branding assets. Work is sorted into folders for each client; if I’ve had to do multiple projects for a client those are usually all in their own sub-folders.
Q: What is your stream schedule.
A: It's posted on my Twitch but at the moment, I'm taking a soft hiatus until I can fix my setup.
Q: Can you JUST lineart my commission or color someone else’s lineart?
Q: What if I DO want the piece for commercial purposes?
A: Let me know for what and we can discuss it.
Q: I haven’t heard back from you, was my request denied?
A: Not yet. There’s probably just a lot of people before you. I’ll only be responding when I’m ready to draw your character. This way I can keep to my week-long (approx.) deadline. In the case where I do decline your character for whatever reason, I will tell you (unless you happened to be a REALLY difficult client that I will never work with again).
Q: Why won’t you design my character(s)?
A: I don’t enjoy being an art mule over something like this. Unless you intend to compensate me thoroughly for the time you’re making me spend re-sketching every version and revising over every minuscule detail of your character till it ‘feels right’ I’d much rather not deal with that headache. I have absolutely no qualms with dressing up your characters though!
Q: Why just one a week? You only seem to need X amount of days? Can I bribe you to have it ASAP?
A: Because I honestly don’t have time. I probably have conventions attend to (see [CONVENTION SCHEDULE] to see where I'll be). Not to mention I return to a day or two’s worth of hibernation after each trip. In this time I try to finish new prints, other commissions, personal work, and other work while still attempting to maintain some semblance of a life. If you REALLY need the commission though, please tag your subject line as IMPORTANT and I can try to have a look. Granted you'd better have a good reason....
Q: Why are the prices so high?
A: Short answer: Bills.
Q: I just want two chibis, can I have a couple discount?
A: No, because nothing’s made easier from you giving me two people to draw as opposed to one. If you really insist on something couple-y you can always ask for a plushie accessory of your/your character’s significant other.
Q: When are you releasing Nyctophilia?
A: It's hard to say. I have a working tablet now but now I need time. Check out the project blog to get more info and/or artwork though.
Q: How much are your Commissions? Are they open? Etc.
A: Yep, they are open now! Price Info will be there too.
